Taylor Swift gets candid about overcoming an eating disorder in her new documentary Miss Americana – which is set to premiere on Netflix on January 31.

In the ‘raw’ film, Taylor admits she struggled to not criticize her body after seeing pictures of her figure every day. When her ‘tummy was too big, or… someone said that I looked pregnant’ would trigger the singer to ‘just starve a little bit’. ‘[I would] just stop eating,’ she explains. The star also reveals her lack of eating got so bad that she would often feel faint while performing. ‘I thought that I was supposed to feel like I was going to pass out at the end of a show, or in the middle of it,’ Taylor divulges in the doco. ‘Now I realize, no, if you eat food, have energy, get stronger, you can do all these shows and not feel (exhausted).’
