Adele has revealed a surprising truth about her divorce from Simon Konecki in a new interview with Vogue.
Adele admitted her marriage to Simon Konecki ended in 2019, barely a year after they wed. This revelation was contrary to public belief, where it was presumed the pair had been married since the arrival of their son, Angelo, who turns 9 this week.
Adele has now set the record straight, adding she was “embarrassed” about the short-lived marriage. “It wasn’t very long,” the singer added.
She also revealed that explaining the divorce to her son was the motivation behind her new album. “I wanted to explain … why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life.”
