On August 2021, Christina Applegate announced that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an incurable autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system, affecting muscle control, balance, vision, and hearing.

“It’s been a strange journey,” the 49-year-old actress admits. “But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition.” That includes her The Sweetest Thing co-star Selma Blair, who has been battling MS since 2018.
