Rapper Post Malone carries a rib contusion after a violent fall on stage Saturday during his concert in St. Louis, according to his management Dre London.

“Thank you all for all your good wishes! Post Malone didn’t break 3 ribs last night thank goodness,” the rapper’s manager, Dre London, wrote on Instagram Sunday. “We took x-rays at the hospital after the show and they said he had bruised ribs.”

Post Malone was performing at the Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis when he took a hard fall on stage.

An audience member, Tana Cantrell, told CNN that the accident occurred about an hour into the concert.

“At that point, from my perspective, it looked like he collapsed on stage, holding his stomach,” Cantrell said. “You could see on his face and his body how much pain he was in and that’s when I knew it was serious. His legs were shaking from the pain.”

“From other angles, you could see there was a hole in the stage that he fell through when they lowered his guitar and they couldn’t get the floor up in time,” Cantrell added.

After about 10 minutes, Post Malone got up with the help of others and went to take a break, according to Cantrell. Once back on stage, he apologized several times before ending the show, Cantrell said.

Dre London praised the rapper for ending the show in a post on Instagram, saying, “I really don’t know any artists like him.”

On Sunday, the rapper apologized and thanked his St. Louis fans in a video also posted on Dre London’s Instagram. The latter confirmed Cantrell’s account that he fell through a hole meant to hold his guitar stand.

“We just got home from the hospital, and everything is fine,” Post Malone said in the video. “They gave me some pain medication, so we can continue the tour.”
