After Nearly A Decade Together, Now Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Have Gone Their Separation Ways For Good

“ Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis had some good years together, but there’s a reason why they never tied the knot and finally made their separation official, ” a friend says of the pair, who had been engaged since 2013.

The signs were there back in January. “There were moving vans outside of their townhouse,” a source says of Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’ Brooklyn home. “Neighbors didn’t think twice about it because the two had recently bought a house in LA, but now people are thinking that was the beginning of the end and they were starting to divide their things.” Nearly a year later, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde made their separation official. “They’ve been living separate lives for months — they rarely did anything together other than make the occasional public appearance and hang out with their kids,” an insider says of the pair, who have been together since 2011 and share Otis, 6, and Daisy, 4.

“The romance died long ago.” Jason is the one who finally pulled away. And while a friend believes his decision to end their engagement after seven years “is heartbreaking, the truth is, they were always butting heads. Bottom line: They had a lot of issues and were never going to get married.” One of their main disagreements was over where to live. Though the family was bicoastal, the former SNL star, 45, “loved living in New York,” says the friend, while the Booksmart director, 36, “was leaning more toward Los Angeles, because her career behind the camera is really starting to take of She was also busier than him at times, which was difficult.
